activities and budget lines updates in LN and
Microsoft Project. The ownership decides how the update is carried
out. Microsoft Project > LN Project - Activities are scheduled; they receive actual dates and a
progress indication, if any.
- Milestones are scheduled; they receive actual dates, with the
exception of milestones linked to customized items, which are always owned by LN.
- Budget lines receive related start and finish dates including
additions, deletions, or both.
- The budgeted quantity of a budget line can be changed from the
Microsoft Project side, and the value is updated to LN if LN is the
owner.
LN Project > Microsoft Project - Activity tasks are updated: structure changes, received
additions, or deletions, or both.
- Milestones receive additions, deletions, or both.
- Budget-line tasks receive budget line quantity, additions,
deletions, or both.
- Activities / budget relationship are updated: the relationship
can be changed, added or deleted, or both.
- Calendar information comes from LN.
- Maximum number of units available, calendar/availability type
for resource comes from LN.
- Microsoft Project is used only for simulation.
