| | Copying Standard Production Structure to Customized
StructureThe copy procedure is as follows: - For each standard item that must be
copied to a customized item, LN first checks whether
the code of the standard item is present as the code of a customized item. If
it is, a new customized item code can be generated automatically, on the basis
of the first free customized item code recorded using the Projects (tipcs2101m000) session. If necessary, you can change the new
code.
- If no customized item is
present for the standard item, the data of the standard item is copied to the
new customized item (target project) code. After copying the item data, the
production BOMs and the operations for manufactured parts are copied to
customized BOMs and customized operations for the customized item (target
project).
- If there is already a
customized item for the target project for the original item, item data is not
copied for the existing customized item. The relevant customized item and its
underlying customized product structure are regarded as the substitute for the
standard item. This does not apply to the first BOM level in the standard
product structure. The production BOM and the operations for the standard item
at the top of the standard product structure, are always copied to the existing
customized item for the copy project. This happens after previous existing data
has been deleted.
- When a standard item is
copied to a customized item, the E-item relationships are copied as
well.
