Defining Company - Bus ComponentA bus components is an entry in the Infor Integration Directory Service. The bus component contains information about the server/client that uses Infor Integration, indicating the name, address, message queues, ports and so on. In addition, each component has one or more connection points that link the Infor Integration Adapter for that component to the actual transport layer. For more information refer to the Help of Infor Integration. Bus components are only used if you use Infor Integration, which is the case if the Use OpenWorld check box is selected in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session. Refer to the Help on this check box for a list of processes that can use Infor Integration. For each company, only one bus component can be selected. Bus components are either listed in the BusComponent Editor (Microsoft Windows platform), which is installed together with Infor Integration, or in the OpenWorld server starter UI & command (tmboaserver) session in LN. Each bus component has a unique code with the following syntax: cn=<component name>, o=<directory root> For example: cn=runner-verdi-406-asm, o=baan.com You must enter this code manually. A user name and password are required if an activation server is used to activate the bus component automatically. Specify the user name and password that are required to log on to LN. The password is stored encrypted. Whether you use an activation server, is specified in the BusComponent Editor of Infor Integration. To select a company, you can zoom to the Implemented Software Components (tccom0500m000) session. The data in the other fields must be entered manually. Use the Test Bus Component command on the appropriate menu to test whether the bus component exists, and whether the user name and password are valid to activate the bus component.
