Displaying MBC

A list of previously defined MBCs is displayed . To define a new MBC:

  • Click New

To modify an MBC:

  • Double-click the MBC

You can only modify MBCs that have the In Design status.

To use MBCs

You can apply an MBC in two situations:

If the Manual Revision Numbering check box in the Engineering Data Management Parameters (tiedm0100m000) session is selected, finalizing an MBC procedure is different in some respects. For more information, refer to the field Help.

MBC Definition

You can use the following sessions to define the effects of an MBC:

MBC simulation

If you select one or more MBCs, and click Simulate ... or Simulate (Detailed)... on the appropriate menu, you can produce a report that shows the effects of the MBCs. To select nonadjacent MBCs, hold down the CTRL key while you click the MBC.

MBCs and reference designators

You can use actions that are linked to an MBC to add, delete, or replace reference designators in EBOMs. For more information, refer to Reference designators and MBCs.
