Ordering Block Planning

Order blocks can assist you to set up an optimal production schedule by reducing the time lost in machine setup activities.

To reschedule order blocks

After you changed the value of the Block Sequence Number field or the Start Time field, you must reschedule the order blocks to recalculate the start times and end times of the order blocks.

You can reschedule in two ways:

  • Reschedule a range of order blocks from a user-selected order block to the last order block.
  • Reschedule all order blocks for particular values of the Machine field and the Start Date of Order Block Period field.

To update the standard planning data
Note

The changes that you make in this session have no effect on the production orders, until you update the production orders by using the Update Standard Planning command.
