Printing Line Station Orders (Bar Code)

You can use bar codes to report orders complete, or undo reporting complete, if you made a mistake, with the Report Line Station Order Complete Using Bar Code (tiasc2211m000) session.

Use one of the following two methods to print bar codes:

Using the BWPRINT program

Use the BWPRINT program to print to any Windows device-type printer.

Perform the following steps:

Step 1. Click Print

If you click Print, the Select Device (ttstpsplopen ) session starts.

Step 2. Select a device

Select a device with the device type Windows printer. You can set up devices in the Device Data (ttaad3500m000) session.

Step 3. Select the Preview check box

This check box is grouped under the Windows Printer Options.

Step 4. Click the Continue button

The BWPRINT program starts, and you see a preview of the bar codes.

Step 5. Click the Print icon

Click the Print icon, and select your normal printer.

Note
  • You must have the bwprint.exe file in your BW/bin directory. If the file is not present, you must install bwprint for your workstation or computer.
  • You can use BWPRINT both under Windows and Unix.
Directly from the Unix print queue
Step 1. Click Print

If you click Print, the Select Device (ttstpsplopen ) session starts.

Step 2. Select printer

Select your normal printer.

Note

If you print directly from the Unix queue, the following prerequisites apply:

  • You must use special fonts, usually in an add-on cartridge.
  • You must have the correct script files installed to initialize the printer fonts.
  • You must have the correct logic in the script file to identifiy printer codes. Your system administrator must set up the scripts correctly. This is not a simple procedure, and it is recommended that you use method 1 (BWPRINT) instead.
