Removing Cost Price History Data

Note

You can also remove cost price history data in the Calculate Cost and Valuation Prices (ticpr2210m000) session or the Actualize Standard Cost and Valuation Prices (ticpr2220m000) session by selecting the Delete Cost Price History Data check box.

The cost price history data is removed based on the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field in the Cost Price Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session:

  • If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field exceeds the period for which you want to remove cost price history data, nothing will be removed.
Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field is one year, but only cost price history data for the last six months is available, nothing will be deleted.

  • If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field equals the period for which you want to remove cost price history data, the latest cost price remains.
Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field is one year, and also cost price history data for the last twelve months is available, then the latest cost price history data remains in the LN database.

  • If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field is less than the period for which you want to remove cost price history data, then the cost price history data that is older than the value in the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field is deleted.
Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost Price History field is one year, but cost price history data for the last 24 months is available, the cost price history data for the last 12 months will remain, and the data for the oldest 12 months is deleted.
