Print Estimated vs. Actual Material Costs (ticst0401m000)

Use this session to print a report that compares the estimated material costs and the actual material costs for a production order.

Select the range of production orders for which you want to print the costing data. Then indicate:

  • If you also want to print the material costs by (costing) work center.
  • If only closed orders must be printed.
  • If LN must recalculate the estimates on basis of the progress of the order.

Costing Work Center
A work center, when linked to a planning work center, that is used to calculate the end item unit costs, WIP transfers, and production results. The financial transactions related to production orders are then posted to the costing work center.

The link between a costing work center and a planning work center enables you to replan production order operations. If required, you can change the work center that is used to carry out an operation without disturbing the costing process.

Print only if actual costs are higher then % of estimated costs
Production orders are printed on the report if the production order's total actual material costs are higher then the specified estimated costs' percentage.
Print only if actual costs are lower then % of estimated costs
Production orders are printed on the report if:
  • The production order's total actual material costs are lower then the specified estimated costs' percentage.
  • The production order's status is at least To be Completed.

Low costs can indicate costs that were incorrectly registered, for example, if backflushing is forgotten.
