Function: Document managementThe objective of this function is to deliver a powerful cataloging system that simplifies document retrieval and controls authorized file access. Document information can be stored in physical files or as physical hard copies. Access to this information is always through a document, which acts as the cover page for the files and hard copies. Document lifecycle and document revision management ensures that the most recent, correct version is always available. To easily view, redline, or edit the associated files, you can apply a variety of third-party applications, such as Microsoft Office, CAD, or any viewing application. To store the contents of a document, you can use paper or some other medium and you can register the contents in Document Management as hard copies . The definition of a hard copy includes specification of the storage medium and the location. You can attach h ard copies, which are revision controlled, to document revisions.
