Function: ODM master data

The objective of this function is to provide the steps of configuring the data to work with any operation in ODM. All the user authorizations that are required in managing the life cycle operations are clearly depicted.

Process: ODM infrastructure (code: MOD00a)

The objective of this process is to provide a highly configurable framework to manage the ODM infrastructure. This process helps in managing the registration of entities as object type in ODM and in providing a composite user authorization in which the existing LN users can be assigned various roles that help in managing and completing the desired life cycle operations in ODM.

A common generic mechanism to generate the unique identifier is available in the ODM and the number is generated depending upon the mask defined by the user. The authorizations in ODM provides the permissions to perform particular actions that are associated with roles, rather than with individual users. An individual user who is assigned a role may perform all the ODM defined actions that are permitted for that role.

Assumptions:

  • The Master data of ODM is a pre requisite and if it does not exist then it needs to be imported from the dump file into the required LN company to work in ODM.

IT support:

  • LN Object Data Management, ODM Configuration
