Updating Excise registers

This functionality is specific for India.

The RG 1 and RG23A/C registers are updated based on the values selected in the RG1 Update Sequence field of the India Localization Parameters (tccom9136m00l) session.

You must select one of the following:

  • RG1 and RG23A/C: LN checks for the inventory in RG1 register. If there is no inventory in RG1 register, it checks for the inventory in RG23A/C register.
  • RG23A/C and RG1: LN checks for the inventory in RG 23A/C register. If there is no inventory in RG 23A/C register, it checks for the inventory in RG1 register.
Opening Balances and inventory adjustments of Registers

To ascertain a correct opening balances, you must update the registers for inventory adjustments. Inventory adjustments are made when you do the following :

  • When you migrate a company from one version to another version.
  • When you adjust the inventory. Example, the inventory is added or reduced.

You must select, Update RG1 or Update RG 23D or Update RG23 A/C check box for the adjustment order in the Easy Adjustment Entry (whinh5202m000) session. The RG 23D details for Inventory Adjustments (whinh9139m00l) session store the excise duty details for the positive inventory adjustments made on the RG23D warehouse. When the inventory is reduced, the details of negative inventory adjustments are stored in the RG23D - Inventory Adjustments - Negative Adjustment (whyin0104m00l) session.

Updating RG 1 register Manually

LN updates the RG 1 register automatically. You can also update the RG 1 register manually. You must set the RG1 field to Manual in the Item Default Data for Indian Localization (tcibd9136m00l) session.

LN stores the RG1 register data temporarily in the RG1 Interim Data (whinr9536m00l) session. You can later process or post the data to RG1 register using the Post data from RG1-Interim table to RG1 Register (whinr9236m00l) session.
