To use the Parameter Wizard

System administrators and key users can use the Parameter Wizard to select the topics to be implemented and to start the process that sets the parameters to the required values.

The Parameter Wizard consists of a sequence of pages that help you to select the option groups, the options, and the topics that you want to implement. When you end the wizard, LN displays the selected topics and parameters. If you wish, you can then change the values of the parameters.

Each page of the wizard contains the following buttons:

  • Cancel. Closes the wizard without saving any data.
  • Back. Discards your selections and displays the previous page of the wizard.
  • Next. Saves your selections and displays the next page of the wizard.
  • Finish. Skips any remaining pages of the wizard and starts the Manual Parameter Selection (tcemm0510m000) session. You can use this new session to view the parameters and their new values. If you do not select any options or topics, the Manual Parameter Selection (tcemm0510m000) session displays all the parameters that are defined for all the topics linked to the options that exist for the selected aspect.
  • Select All. Selects all the check boxes on the current page of the wizard.
  • Clear All. Clears all the check boxes on the current page of the wizard.
  • Question Mark. On each page, you can click the Question Mark button and with the question mark cursor, click a field or a check box. LN displays the Help topic that is linked to the parameter field of the related parameter.
To use the Parameter Wizard

Use the wizard to select the parameters that you want to set and to start the parameter setting process. On each page of the wizard, select one or a number of entities and click Next to display the next page.

If you have made a mistake, click Back to return to the previous page of the wizard, or click Cancel to stop using the wizard.

On each page, you can only select the entities that are linked to the entities that you selected on the previous page.

To use the Parameter Wizard to set the parameters, take the following steps:

  1. Start the Parameter Wizard.

    To select the parameters to be process, the wizard guides you through the following steps:

    • Select an aspect. You can set the parameters for one aspect at a time.
    • Select one or more option groups.
    • Select one or more options.
    • Select one or more topics. You can only select topics that were linked to the option in the Required Topics (tcemm0113m000) session.
    • Select the parameters.
  2. After you select the parameters, the Manual Parameter Selection (tcemm0510m000) session starts. This session displays the selected topics and the parameters that are linked to the topics. You can select and deselect topics. You cannot change the selection of the parameters and the parameter values.
  3. On the appropriate menu of the Manual Parameter Selection (tcemm0510m000) session, click Initialize Parameters to start the process.
