Invoice-from Business Partners (tccom4522m000)Use this session to view invoice-from business partners, which you can enter or maintain in the Invoice-from Business Partners (tccom4122s000) details session. When you double-click a record, or click the New button, the Invoice-from Business Partners (tccom4122s000) session is started. Note This session can be displayed in different views. When you change the view, LN changes the session's title bar, column sequence, and the number of view fields. If you click Sort by on the View menu, you can choose to sort the invoice-from business partners by:
Invoice-from Business Partner The business partner that sends invoices to your organization.
This usually represents a supplier's accounts receivable department. The
definition includes the default currency and exchange rate, invoicing method
and frequency, information about your organization's credit limit, the terms
and method of payment, and the related pay-to business partner. Department The department that is linked to the business-partner role. The
business partner's financial data for the role is registered in the financial
company to which the department is linked. Status Indicates the actions that can be carried out for the business
partner. The status can be: Active, Inactive, or Prospect. For example, you cannot enter a sales order for a business partner with status Prospect, or ship goods to a business partner with status Inactive. If there are outstanding sales orders or open invoices for the business partner, you cannot change the status from Active to Prospect. Allowed values City The city in which the invoice-from business partner is
established. Country The country in which the invoice-from business partner is
established. Telephone The invoice-from business partner's telephone
number. Search Key The search key to find the business partner. LN automatically fills this field with the first 16 positions of the business partner's name. The letters are converted into capitals. Creation Date The date and time at which the business partner was
defined. Expense Type The default expense type for the business partner. This expense type is linked to advance payments, unallocated payments and order related invoices. If payments to the business partner must not appear on the DAS2 report, select Not Applicable. SIREN Code The business partner's SIREN code. Establishment Code The business partner's site identification. Business Partner Tax Classification The business partner's tax classification. On the appropriate menu, you can click Tax Data to start the Business Partner Income Tax Data (tccom4127s000) session, which you can use to enter the business partner's details for withholding tax and social contributions. Text If this check box is selected, a text is present. Address The invoice-from business partner's address. Parent Business Partner The business partner that links the various business-partners
with different roles in a distributed business partner organization. If you define branches of one company as different business partners, the business partners must all have the same parent business partner. ZIP Code/Postal Code The invoice-from business partner's ZIP code. State/Province The state or province where the invoice-from business partner
resides. House Number The invoice-from business partner's house number. Fax The invoice-from business partner's fax number. Website The invoice-from business partner's website. Start Date The date and time when this status takes effect. If you leave this field empty, the status takes effect immediately. End Date The expiry date and time of the business partner's status. If you leave this field empty, the status continues. Language The language used for documents addressed to the business partner.
If no document is available in this language, the document in the company
language is used. Business Partner Signal If you select a signal here, the signal message is displayed
when you enter the business-partner code in an LN session. Business Partner Type A way to group business partners with similar characteristics,
for example, members of the EU, or subject to specific customs
rules. Note A business-partner type is not the same as a business-partner role or financial business-partner group. Vendor Rating If you want to apply vendor rating to
the business partner, select this check box. Contact The business partner's default contact. Currency The default currency used by the
business partner for invoicing. Exchange Rate Type The exchange rate type for purchase. Default value The purchase exchange-rate type you have selected for the current company in the Companies (tcemm1170m000) session. Financial Supplier Group The financial business-partner group to which the business partner is assigned. If you define the business partner role for more than one department, you must select the same financial business-partner group for all the departments of which the enterprise unit is linked to the same financial company. Statement Method The statement of account that you use for the business partner. Subcontracting If the associated buy-from business partner is a subcontractor,
select this check box. You can then register additional subcontracting data for
the business partner in the Subcontractors (tfacp3110s000) session in Financials. In some countries, you must make payments of a subcontractor's purchase invoices to a blocked account. In the Bank Account by Pay-to Business Partner (tccom4125s000) session, you can indicate that the account is blocked. If the business partner is a one-time business partner, you cannot select this check box. Hold Reason for Purchase The hold reason for purchase. Transaction Reference The transaction reference that is used as a default in the Received Purchase Invoices (tfacp1500m000) and Matched Purchase Invoice/Statement Line Transactions (tfacp1133s000) sessions. Document Method If you reduce payments to the business partner by the amounts of existing credit notes, you can generate and print an "assigned credit notes letter" with an overview of the credit notes and the related invoices and send it to your supplier. LN uses the layout and addressee that you specified in the document method definition. If you leave this field empty, you cannot print assigned credit notes letters for the business partner. Number of Extra Invoice Copies Self-Billing Method Include Number Group in Invoice Document If this check box is selected, LN prints the number group on the invoice. Number Group A group of first free number series that you can assign to a
specific use. For example, you can assign a number group to:
Within a number group you can define multiple series. Each series is identified by the series code. The series numbers that LN generates consist of the series code followed by the first free number in the series. Series codes of the same number group have the same length. Series A group of order numbers or document numbers starting with the
same series code. Series identify orders with certain characteristics. For example, all sales orders handled by the large accounts department start with LA (LA0000001, LA0000002, LA0000003, and so on). Transaction Schedule The transaction schedule that is used as a default expense distribution when purchase
invoice transactions are entered in the Purchase Invoice Entry (tfacp2600m000) session. If a transaction template is specified here, and a user activates the Create Transactions from Schedule (tfgld1204s000) session, they can generate the standard expense distribution. If this field is left empty, the value of the Ledger Account field will be used. Ledger Account The ledger account that is used as a default
expense distribution if no transaction template is specified. This default will
be used in the first transaction line. Credit Limit The maximum financial risk that you accept or are insured
against concerning an invoice-to business partner, or that an invoice-from
business partner accepts concerning you. When you create orders, LN continually checks that the total amount of created and invoiced orders does not exceed the credit limit. When you exceed the limit, LN gives a warning message. Default value Zero (= no credit limit) Note
Date of Last Credit Review You must review the credit rating regularly. This field records
the date and time of the most recent review. Payment Terms The payment terms agreed with the business partner. These are default values that can be changed
on the order as necessary. Define payment terms in the Payment Terms (tcmcs0513m000) session. Return Payment Terms The default payment terms that
apply to return orders. Late Payment Surcharge The late payment surcharge that the business partner charges. You can change
these default values on the order as necessary. Return Late Payment Surcharge The late payment surcharges that apply to return orders. You
can change these default values on the order as necessary. Pay-to Business Partner The pay-to business partner to which you pay the invoices from this invoice-from business
partner. Note One of the following must be true:
Payment Method The way in which the payment (purchase invoice) or the direct
debit (sales invoice) takes place. The payment method defines details such as,
the maximum amount, the type of due date, if foreign currencies are allowed,
and which details must be printed on the report. These details are default values that you can change on the order or invoice as necessary. Allowed values The payment method type must be Payment. Return Payment Method The payment method that
you use for return orders. Allowed values The payment method type must be Payment. Payment Agreement The payment agreement you have with the business partner. Payment agreements are often used in connection with a monthly billing invoice. Dimension The dimension of this dimension type to which LN by default posts the
business partner's invoice amounts. These dimension overrule the dimensions selected for the business partner group in the Accounts Payable module.
