Quality Management Parameters (qmptc0100m000)

Use this session to maintain the parameters of the Quality package. These parameters control the general features in the Quality package and integrate this package with modules of other packages.

 

Effective Date
Displays the date and time that the parameters are valid. The parameters are valid up to the effective date of a more recent parameter setting.
Description
Displays the description of the parameter set. For example, you can indicate why you changed the parameters.
Inspection - Origin
QM Implemented
Sales (SLS)
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used in the Sales Control module as a basis for inspections.
Purchase (PUR)
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used in the Purchase Control module as a basis for inspections.
Production (SFC)
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used in the Shop Floor Control (SFC) module as a basis for inspections.
Material (BOM)
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used in the Bill of Material (BOM) module as a basis for inspections.
Routing (TI)
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used in the Routing module as a basis for inspections.
Warehouse Transfer
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used for inspections on warehouse transfers.
Storage inspections
If this check box is selected, the Quality package can be used for inspections on storage in warehouses.
Specific Inspections
Sales (SLS)
If this check box is selected, you can use order-specific inspection data for Sales Control. Even if changes have occurred in the master data after the sales order has been planned, and order-specific inspection data does exist, the inspection orders of a specific order will remain the same.
Purchase (PUR)
If this check box is selected, you can use order-specific inspection data for Purchase Control. Even if changes have occurred in the master data after the purchase order has been planned, and order-specific inspection data does exist, the inspection orders of a specific order will remain the same.
Production (SFC)
If this check box is selected, you can use order-specific inspection data for Shop Floor Control (SFC). Even if changes have occurred in the master data after the production order has been planned, and order-specific inspection data does exist, the inspection orders of a specific order will remain the same.
Material (BOM)
If this check box is selected, you can use order-specific inspection data for Bill of Material (BOM). Even if changes have occurred in the master data after the production order has been planned, and order-specific inspection data does exist, the inspection orders of a specific order will remain the same.
Warehouse Transfer
If this check box is selected, you can use order-specific inspection data for warehouse transfers.
QM Only Recommends
Sales (SLS)

  • If this check box is checked, the inspection results are a recommendation for the user; the user can overwrite these results.
  • If this check box is cleared, the inspection results are mandatory; the user cannot overwrite these results.

Inspection Orders
Number Group in Inspection Ordering
Displays a field that is used to define number groups for inspection order numbering. For each origin (for example, Sales Control or Purchase Control, a different series can be defined.
Note

You can create new number groups in the Number Groups (tcmcs0151m000) session and their series in the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session.

Step Size for Inspection Order Lines
Displays the position numbers. When inspection order lines are generated in the Inspection Order - Lines (qmptc1101m000) session, a position number will be assigned automatically. In this field, you can type the step size by which every new position numbers needs to be raised.
Series
Sales Inspection Orders
Displays the series of Sales Control orders.
Purchase Inspection Orders
Displays the series of Purchase Control orders.
Production Inspection Orders
Displays the series of Shop Floor Control orders.
Material Inspection Orders
Displays the series of Bill of Material orders.
Routing Inspection Orders
Displays the series of Routing orders.
Warehouse Inspection Orders
Displays the series of warehouse inspection orders.

Displays the series of storage inspection orders.
Inspection - Blocking Reasons
Block on Operation
Active Inspections
Displays a field where you must enter a blocking reason to accomplish a Block on Operation for Active Inspections in the Shop Floor Control (SFC) module.

An inspection is active in one of the following cases:

  • The inspection status is Free and the order quantity is not equal to 0.
  • The inspection status is Active.
  • The inspection status is Completed.

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes selected in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Use in QM
  • Block Quantity Completed
  • Block Quantity Rejected
  • Blocked for Completion

The blocking reason must have the Block Quantity to be Inspected check box cleared in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session.

Inactive Inspections
Displays a field where you must enter a blocking reason to accomplish a Block on Operation for Not Active Inspections in Shop Floor Control. An inspection is not active when the inspection status is Free with order quantity = 0.

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes selected in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Use in QM
  • Block Quantity Completed
  • Block Quantity Rejected

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes cleared in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Block Quantity to be Inspected
  • Blocked for Completion
Processed Inspections
Displays a field where you must enter a blocking reason to accomplish a Block on Operation for Processed Inspections in Shop Floor Control. An inspection is processed when the inspection status is Processed.

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes selected in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Use in QM
  • Block Quantity to be Inspected

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes cleared in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Block Quantity Completed
  • Block Quantity Rejected
  • Blocked for Completion
Block on Completion of Operation
Active Inspections
Displays a field where you must enter a blocking reason to accomplish a Block on Completion of Operation for Active Inspections in the Shop Floor Control module.

An inspection is active in the following cases:

  • The inspection status is Free with order quantity unequal to 0.
  • The inspection status is Active.
  • The inspection status is Completed.

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes selected in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Use in QM
  • Block Quantity to be Inspected
  • Blocked for Completion

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes cleared in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Block Quantity Completed
  • Block Quantity Rejected
Inactive Inspections
Displays a field where you must enter a blocking reason to accomplish a Block on Completion of Operation for Not Active Inspections in the Shop Floor Control module. An inspection is not active when the inspection status is Free with order quantity = 0, or when the inspection status is Processed.

  • Block Quantity to be Inspected

The blocking reason must have the following check boxes cleared in the Blocking Reasons (tisfc2100m000) session:

  • Block Quantity Completed
  • Block Quantity Rejected

Enter Test Data By
Enter Test Data By
Displays a parameter that determines how the test data is entered.
  • by Characteristic or Serial Number (in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session)
Options
Mandatory Printing of Inspection Order Documents
If this check box is selected, the Print Inspection Orders (qmptc1400m000) session is mandatory in the inspection procedure. This means that an inspection order is blocked until the documents are printed.

If this check box is cleared, the Print Inspection Orders (qmptc1400m000) session is optional.

Approve Sampling Rule Changes
If this check box is selected, user must approve the changes to the sampling rules. If this checkbox is not selected, LN automatically approves the changes to the sampling rules.
Period Table
The period table used to track the Item Quality statistics.
Reason for Rejection
The code of the rejection reason. The reason for the rejection of the products that are purchased, produced, transferred, or sold.

Non-Conforming Material Report Implemented
If this check box is selected, NCMR functionality is implemented.
Number Group
The code of the default number group of the series used to generate the NCMR number.
