Additional InformationLN offers the possibility to link user defined fields to a selected number of entities. User defined fields can be modeled in the Additional Information Definitions (tcstl2100m000) session. LN consumes additional table space for every parent record of the entity to which additional information fields are linked. This is true even if the additional fields do not have content; empty additional fields also consume space. The contents of additional information fields are stored in records in a table which are separate from the parent record. This means that additional database actions are required to maintain the additional information. Therefore the usage of additional information has an impact on performance. It is recommended to only model additional information fields when they are really required to support your business process. Performance aspects
