Troubleshooting

This section discusses an error messages you can encounter during installation.

It is possible that the following error message appears after starting the Installation Wizard:

[...]

This indicates that something is wrong with your DCOM settings. To repair this, start DCOMCNFG, from a Command Prompt: [...]

  1. This will start the component services:
  2. Right click My Computer and select Properties.
  3. In the Access Permissions box click Edit Default.
  4. Select SELF and in the Permissions for SELF select Allow for:
    • Local Access
    • Remote Access
  5. Allow Local access to SYSTEM and click OK.
  6. Click OK. Now you must be able to start the Installation Wizard.
