Infor ERP installation with ASM

If you have installed Infor LN on a Windows machine with the Application Service Manager (ASM), to start the Job Daemon you must supply a password. For more detailed information, refer to Administrator's Guide for Application Service Manager (U7784 US).

Complete the following steps:

  1. Start the ASM snap-in. Double-click the Asm.msc file. By default, you can find this file in the following directory:

    C:\program files\asm

  2. Click your host in the configuration, and open Service Instances.
  3. Open the hostname and the environment where the job daemon must be started.

  4. Right-click Job Daemon Instance, and on the shortcut menu, click Properties. The following dialog box appears:

  5. Fill in the password and click OK.
  6. To save the data to the server, select the host name and right-click the mouse.
  7. Point to All Tasks and click Save Service Types and Instances to ASM Server.
  8. After you change the configuration settings, to put the changes into effect, you must always restart your ASM Server.
