Pre-configuration

If Microsoft Project 2007/2003/2002/2000/98 client is to be installed on the Microsoft Project Server (not on Standalone Client), the Microsoft Project Client must be configured to Microsoft Project Server. For further details, refer to the Microsoft Project Server Installation Guide. The basic steps are the following:

• Choose Collaboration Options from the Collaborate menu.
• On the Collaborate tab, click Collaborate Using Microsoft Project Server.
• Enter the Microsoft Project Server URL, for example: http://win2k1/projectserver.
• On the Tools menu, click Enterprise Options > Microsoft Project Server Account and click Add.
• Create an account and specify the same URL as in Step 3. The account that you must specify must be preset during the Microsoft Project server installation.
• Select the Set as Default check box.
• Close and restart the Microsoft project. By default, the Microsoft Project Server Security Login screen appears, in which in the user can log on with the specified account.
• Install Microsoft Project 2007/2003/2002/2000/98 SR-1/98.
• Install and configure Infor Integration 6.2 Connector for Java and Connector for .Net.
