  • The general project parameters are used to maintain and initialize the parameters that define how a project works. A project also takes default values drawn from the general project parameters and you can modify these values to suit the requirements of individual projects.

  • The contract parameters are used to maintain and initialize the parameters for contracts. The parameters set using the parameter sessions are valid for all contracts set up in this company. Parameters also serve as defaults for some fields.

  • The project budget parameters are used in the Planning module. There are two sets of parameters - for general use in Budgeting and for cost analysis.

  • The project planning parameters are used to set parameters that relate to both parts of the Requirements Planning module. These parameters cover the default project plan and details that relate to the external scheduling package (including currency, time unit, and details of code lengths).

  • The project progress parameters are used to maintain parameters, including control periods and work in progress settings. These parameters are defined before the costs and revenues are registered in the Project Progress module.
