Object Masks

The Object Masks (dmcom0522m000) session contains the following data fields:

Object	Displays the object ID, which acts as an identifier.
Attribute	Displays the attribute of the main table of the object for which the object mask is used.
Mask Code	Displays the mask code, which is a descriptive title for the object mask.
Description	Displays the object mask code description.
Active	Displays a field that indicates whether the object mask is active or inactive. If more than one mask code exists for any object, the active mask code configuration will be considered.

The following table lists the data fields of the Object Masks (dmcom0122s000) details session:

Object	Displays the object attribute with which the mask code is associated.
Mask Code	Displays the mask code for the object type.
Description	Displays a field that is used to enter the object mask description.
Attribute	Displays the object attribute with which the mask code is associated. More than one mask code can be generated for a single object attribute.
Mask Depend On	Displays the object table on which the object mask depends. If the value to be generated is dependent on some field, you must specify the Mask Depend On field. For example, in the case of object DOCS, the ID to be generated depends on the document type. Therefore, the Mask Depend On field contains the Document Type field name, which is dmdoc110.type. This field is not a mandatory field.
Value Depend On	Displays the object-type value table on which the object mask depends. If you must revise an existing ID, you must specify the Value Depend On field. For example, in the case of object DOC_REV, the revision to be generated depends on dmdoc120.cmbt. This field is not a mandatory field.
Default Value	Displays a field that is used to enter a default value for the object mask. The value must contain both fixed and generated characters. For generated characters, use the pound sign (#) to represent a digit, and an asterisk (*) to represent a letter.
Active	Displays a field that is used to activate or deactivate the object mask.
