Objects

The Objects (dmsys1511m000) session contains the following data fields:

Object ID	Displays the object ID, which acts as an identifier.
Object Description	Displays the object description.
Main Table	Displays the table name that is based on the object data.
System Defined Object	Displays an object that indicates whether the object is a system-defined object or not. No user can modify the details of a system-defined object, except for the description.

The appropriate menu in the Objects (dmsys1511m000) session contains the following options:

Families Owned by a Type	Displays the families owned by the specific object type in the Object Families (dmsys1512m000) session.
Families Object is Member In	Displays the Families list of which the specified object is a member in all the displayed families, as shown in the Object Families - Linkage Types Lines (Family Members) (dmsys0513m000) session.
Object Masks	Displays the Object Masks option on the appropriate menu. Click Object Masks to start the Object Masks (dmcom0522m000) session. Object masks enable you to generate unique object identifiers automatically, and ensure that these identifiers have a constant format.
Statuses by Object Type	Displays the Statuses by Object Type option on the appropriate menu. Click Statuses by Object Type to start the Object Statuses by Object (dmsys0520m000) session to create a new status code for an object.
Reason Codes	Displays the Reason Codes option on the appropriate menu. Click Reason Codes to start the Reasons (dmcom0150m000) session. Reason codes are system administrator-defined lists of codes and descriptions that provide a reason for the change.
Families List	Displays the Families List option on the appropriate menu. Click Families List to start the Object Families by Member (dmsys9512m000) session. The families’ list is the list of all the families.
Actions	Displays the Actions command on the appropriate menu. Click Actions to start the Actions (dmcom0530m000) session. Actions are commands that determine operations that can be performed on an object. For example, if Change Header (CH) is an object, CH's actions are Cancel, Created, Completed, and Under Review.
Related Objects	Displays the Related Objects option on the appropriate menu. Click Related Objects to start the Related Objects (dmsys1113m000) session. Related objects are those objects that have a relation with one another.

The Objects (dmsys1111s000) details session contains the following data fields:

Object ID	Displays a field that is used to enter the object identifier.
Main Table	Displays the table name where you can find the object data. This field displays the main table on which this object is defined.
Access Index	Displays the index, which is used to access the object.
Overview Session	Displays the main session identifier for the object.
Details Session	Displays the details session identifier for the object.
Description Field	Displays the description of the object from the main table. This field also displays the field that is used to provide the description of the object instance if the instances are listed in the generic sessions, For example, dmcom9110m000 and dmcom8110m000, or the object browser. For example: If the object is LIBR – Library, the description field will be the dmsys040m000 description. The field dmsys040m000 description has the description of the library instance.
Display in Browser	Displays the object identifier for the object browser. Displays the field on which the ODM object browser, for example, the Browse option from documents, must fetch the properties for the object.
Object Description	Displays the object description. This field displays the description of the object, which by default will be the description of the main table on which this object is defined.
Default Icon	Displays an Icon that must be displayed in the browser for the defined object. If the main table of the object has a field that can hold an image, you can specify this field here. If the object browser appears for this object, the system picks up the image that is defined for this field.
System Defined Object	Displays a check box, which you can select to ensure that the created object cannot be deleted or modified.
