Request for quotation enhancements

Infor LN 10.3

Several changes and additions are made to the request for quotation procedure.

Renamed terminology

Quotations are renamed to RFQ responses or response lines.

Buy-from business partners are renamed to bidders.

The return date is renamed to the response date.

New negotiation functionality

Negotiation functionality is added as an optional step in the RFQ procedure, which enables you to negotiate the bidder's responses, specify your counter proposals, add negotiation notes, and view the progress of the negotiations.

Status changes

Statuses are changed and new statuses are added in the RFQ procedure. If possible, the RFQ status is synchronized between RFQ objects.

The RFQ status can apply to these RFQ objects:

  • An RFQ header in the Requests for Quotation (tdpur1501m000) session
  • An RFQ line in the Request for Quotation Lines (tdpur1502m000) session
  • An RFQ bidder in the RFQ Bidders (tdpur1505m000) session
  • An RFQ response line in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session

These statuses are available in Infor LN 10.3:

SentThe RFQ object includes one or more linked bidders and is printed in the Print Request for Quotations (tdpur1401m000) session.

Miscellaneous RFQ changes

The Estimated Price and Latest Purchase Price fields are added to the Request for Quotation Lines (tdpur1502m000) session.

The Copy RFQ Line field is removed and replaced by the Conversion Action and Conversion Type fields in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000), RFQ Response Ranking based on Total Amount (tdpur1805m000), or RFQ Response Ranking based on Criteria Set (tdpur1806m000) sessions. The conversion types are also extended.

Process Non-Converted RFQ Responses (tdpur1223m000) is a new session in which you can process ignored responses by bidder and delete responses by bidder. Therefore, the Delete Quotations marked as 'Delete' field is removed in the Convert RFQs (tdpur1202m000) session.
