| Request for quotation enhancementsInfor LN 10.3 Several changes and additions are made to the request for
quotation procedure. Renamed terminology Quotations are renamed to RFQ responses or response lines. Buy-from business partners are renamed to
bidders. The return date is renamed to the response date. New negotiation functionality Negotiation functionality is added as an optional step in
the RFQ procedure, which enables you to negotiate the bidder's responses,
specify your counter proposals, add negotiation notes, and view the progress of
the negotiations. These negotiation sessions are added: Status changes Statuses are changed and new statuses are added in the RFQ
procedure. If possible, the RFQ status is synchronized between RFQ
objects. The RFQ status can apply to these RFQ objects: - An RFQ header in the Requests for Quotation (tdpur1501m000) session
- An RFQ line in the Request for Quotation Lines (tdpur1502m000) session
- An RFQ bidder in the RFQ Bidders (tdpur1505m000) session
- An RFQ response line in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session

Created | The RFQ object is created. | Sent | The RFQ object includes one or more linked
bidders and is printed in the Print Request for Quotations (tdpur1401m000) session. | Modified | The RFQ object is changed after it is
printed. | Responded | An RFQ response line automatically receives this
status when a response line with the Sent status is manually updated in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session. You can also manually specify this status in
the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session. This status applies only to RFQ response lines. RFQ
headers, lines, and bidders cannot have this status. | In Process | At least one response line is updated in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session, which means the response has a status of Responded, No Bid, No Response, Negotiating, Accepted, or Rejected. This status applies only to RFQ headers, lines, and
bidders. An RFQ response line cannot have this status. | No Bid | No response line will be received from the bidder to
the RFQ (line). You must manually specify this status in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000) session. You cannot update response lines with this

Miscellaneous RFQ changes The Estimated Price and Latest Purchase Price fields are added to the Request for Quotation Lines (tdpur1502m000) session. The Copy RFQ Line field is removed and replaced by the Conversion Action and Conversion Type fields in the RFQ Responses (tdpur1506m000), RFQ Response Ranking based on Total Amount (tdpur1805m000), or RFQ Response Ranking based on Criteria Set (tdpur1806m000) sessions. The conversion
types are also extended. Comparing responses in the Compare RFQ responses (tdpur1110m000) session is no longer mandatory, but can be used
optionally in the RFQ procedure. Process Non-Converted RFQ Responses (tdpur1223m000) is a
new session in which you can process ignored responses by bidder and delete
responses by bidder. Therefore, the Delete Quotations marked as 'Delete' field is removed in
the Convert RFQs (tdpur1202m000) session. The Delete Requests for Quotation (tdpur1205m000) session can now be used to delete RFQs that
are expired, have no response returned, or were never linked to a bidder. | |
