Project Definition

	Project Definition This topic describes the differences between Project Definition in Infor LN 10 and in Infor LN 10.2.1 that are not already discussed in other Differences topics. New in Infor LN 10.2.1 In the General Project Parameters (tppdm0100s000) session the following functional changes are made: You can specify if an Element, Activity and Extension is used for a project using the relevant check boxes. If you clear any or all these check boxes, the element, activity or extension is disabled for the Project. However, before you clear the checkbox, you must ensure that no transaction related to the element, activity or extension exists. You can specify the Default Exchange Rate Type Budget used for budgeting projects. You can specify the code system for Item Code System (File Import) and Item Code System (Order Entry). The Overhead tab is added for new cost type, Overhead. You can specify costs for which overhead must be calculated such as Actuals and Hard Commitments. Project You can now link a group of related projects to a program using the Program field in the following sessions: Project (tppdm6100m000) Projects 360 (tppdm6500m100) Project Selection (tppdm6800m000) Note The Contract Management module replaces the Business Partner by Project and Contract Sub-amount functionality. Several fields such as Contract type, Invoice type, Holdback Percentage, Cost Plus Markup and so on, that were earlier defined on the project are now part of the Contracts (tpctm1100m000) session in the Contract Management module. Project Deliverables The following functional changes are made in the Project Deliverables (tppdm7100m000) session: The value of the Delivery Type field is set to Wrh->BP when Type of Deliverable field is set to Non Hardware in the session. Alternative Item Code field is added. Effectivity Unit field and the Requirements options are added to model deviations for a unit effective item. The Completed Quantity can be more than the Ordered Quantity for the shipment. The Price Origin field is added to indicate how LN retrieves the item sales price. For more information, refer to Retrieving sales price for project deliverable items. Overhead In Infor LN 10.2.1 the Overhead functionality is introduced. The following sessions are added: The Standard Overhead (tppdm0142m000) session is added to define the standard overhead. The Overhead Application Bases (tppdm2100m000) session is added to set up application bases. The Calculate Overhead (tppdm2200m000) session is added to calculate overhead. Contracts The following new sessions are added: Contract Deliverables (tppdm7100m100) Contract Deliverables Schedule (tppdm7100m200) Contract Deliverables Monitor (tppdm7100m400) Backorders (tppdm7100m300) Create Return Deliverables (tppdm7200m100) New fields are added in the Contract Deliverables (tppdm7100m100) and the Contract Deliverables Schedule (tppdm7100m200) sessions for the Backorders and Returns functionality.
