| General LedgerThis topic describes the differences between the General Ledger modules in Infor LN 10 and in Infor LN 10.2.1. Infor LN 10 In Infor LN 10, the actual ledger and dimension mapping showed the user
one screen per ledger account/dimension. New in Infor LN 10.2.1 Mapping scheme improvements Users have a comprehensive overview of the mapping tasks
they have completed and which mapping tasks remain to be done. Dimension mapping is improved for situations in which a
dimension mapping is performed based on multiple elements. If the dimension element group contains
multiple element codes, for each element code, you can indicate whether the
dimension code should be retrieved from the element value itself when the
actual dimension mapping is done. As a result, the time required to set up
dimension mapping for such dimensions is greatly reduced. This will especially
apply to "fast-moving" dimensions, such as projects. The Mapping by Element Group (tfgld4667m000) session was added. These sessions were redesigned: These sessions were enhanced: - Integration Document Types (tfgld4557m000)
- Mapping Scheme Details (tfgld4574m000)
- Default Accounts (tfgld4578m000)
- Element Groups (tfgld4567m000)
- Mapping Scheme Errors and Warnings (tfgld4576m000)
- Integration Transactions (tfgld4582m000)
Integration and reconciliation report
improvements The Print Reconciliation Data (tfgld4495m000) session was redesigned and enhanced: - You can print a report for a specific reconciliation
group or for multiple reconciliation groups.
- The Print Flat Report option allows you to print a report
without selection details and (sub) totals. This report can be opened in, for
example, Microsoft Excel.
- Inventory transaction IDs are now shown including the
order type origin.
- Enumerated integration/reconciliation elements are
displayed that use the description instead of the constant value.
Improved printing of trial balances including export
options Reverse/recurring journals improvements Usability improvements Infor LN 10.2.1 includes these usability improvements: -
The following sessions now provide you with an
overview of ledger account balances: - Finalization of individual batches was improved with the
introduction of the Finalization Run Numbers (tfgld1609m000) session, which
provides easy access to the Batches by Finalization Run (tfgld1100m000) session.
- Inquiry of documents and (non-)finalized transaction
lines was improved with the introduction of the Document History - Transaction Lines (tfgld0618m200) session.
Minor enhancements Infor LN 10.2.1 includes these minor enhancements: - Finalization authorizations were improved. For example,
in the Finalization Administrators (tfgld0125m000) session, finalization administrators
can disable finalization of their own batches.
- To better support other methods of (statutory) reporting
in some countries, complementary accounts can be used in the mapping scheme.
Performance improvements Infor LN 10.2.1 includes these performance improvements: - As a result of a redesign of the finalization process,
performance was improved.
- For performance reasons, in the Print Reconciliation Data (tfgld4495m000) session, the Include Non-Finalized Transactions field is initially
hidden.
