Miscellaneous differencesThis topic describes the remaining differences between Infor LN 10 and Infor LN 10.2.1 in Sales. Activate/deactivate sales contracts In Infor LN 10.2.1, the Activate/Deactivate Contracts (tdsls3205m000) session was added to activate or deactivate a range of sales contracts. In this session, you can also specify whether to update the status of linked contract lines. You can start the Activate/Deactivate Contracts (tdsls3205m000) session stand-alone or from the appropriate menu of the Sales Contracts (tdsls3500m000) session. Critical safety items In the Items - General (tcibd0501m000) session of Infor LN 10.2.1, you can specify that an item is a critical safety item. A critical safety item is a part, assembly, installation, or production system with one or more essential characteristics which, when they do not conform to the design data or quality requirements, result in an unsafe condition that can cause loss or serious damage to the end item or major components, loss of control, or injury to personnel. The Print Critical Safety Item check box was added to the following sessions:
You use this check box to indicate whether to print a critical safety indicator on the shipment label. Delivery based renamed to receipt based In Infor LN 10, sales schedule types can be shipment based or delivery based. These types are used to calculate the dates and times when goods must be shipped from the supplier’s warehouse (shipment based) or must be received at the customer’s warehouse (delivery based). In Infor LN 10.2.1, delivery based is renamed to Receipt Based. Item information added to Items - Sales (tdisa0501m000) In Infor LN 10.2.1, the following fields were added to the Items - Sales (tdisa0501m000) session: These fields are used in the item selection process when zooming to the Items - Sales (tdisa0501m000) session. Quality assurance process In Infor LN 10.2.1, the Quality Assurance Process check box was added to the Sales Contract Line Logistic Data (tdsls3102m000) session. If this check box is selected, the item or item supplier must meet a guaranteed level of quality to ship the item. The item's or supplier's approved quality status is indicated by a quality indicator. The quality indicator is sent by the shipment BOD and is printed on shipment labels. Removed sessions The following Infor LN 10 sessions are removed in Infor LN 10.2.1:
In Infor LN 10.2.1, you must use the following sessions: Sales delivery workbench The Sales Delivery Workbench (tdsls8350m000) is a new session type for use with Infor Workspace. In this workbench, internal sales representatives can specify a date range for the sales order lines they want to view and access delivery-related data. Success report in Process Sales Quotations (tdsls1200m000) In Infor LN 10.2.1, the Print Report check box was added to the Process Sales Quotations (tdsls1200m000) session. Use this check box to indicate whether to print the outcome of the processing process. Superseded status for sales release In Infor LN 10, a sales release (line) can have the following statuses: Created, Processing in Progress, Processed, and Exception. In Infor LN 10.2.1, Superseded was added as a new status to this list. If a sales release line has the Superseded status, the release line cannot be processed into a sales schedule (line) because the current release revision is no longer valid and is replaced by a newer release revision. Terms and conditions mandatory for sales
schedules In Infor LN 10.2.1, the Use Terms and Conditions for Schedules check box was added to the Sales Contract Parameters (tdsls0100s300) session. Use this check box to indicate whether a sales schedule must have a linked terms and conditions agreement.
