Flexible sales order and sales schedule updates

Infor LN 10

If an outbound advice or open shipment is generated, you cannot update the warehousing order, sales order. or sales schedule.

Infor LN 10.2.1

Warehousing offers more flexibility to edit open shipments and warehousing orders that are in process. As a result, updates to sales orders and schedules are also more flexible.

Sales orders

  • If outbound order lines can be updated, you can modify the sales order line even when a linked outbound advice exists.
  • Changes made on shipment level are updated to the sales order actual delivery lines.

Sales schedules

  • If outbound order lines can be updated, you can modify the planned warehouse order up to a later stage during the schedule approval process.
  • Changes made on the shipment level are updated to the sales schedule actual delivery lines.
  • Parameters are added to control how planned warehouse orders are handled during sales schedule line (revision) approval.
  • Sales schedule approval can be simulated.
  • The effects of sales schedule (simulation) approval are logged.
  • For Delivery Based schedules, the Start Date is no longer used as a reference date for schedule line updates or consolidation by date. Instead, the Planned Receipt Date is now used. If various schedule lines have the same start date but a different planned receipt date, these schedule lines are no longer canceled during sales schedule revision approval.
