Project pegging in SalesTo identify costs, demand, and supply for a project, in Infor LN 10.2.1, you can implement project pegging and specify the items for which project pegging is required. Project pegging in Sales includes the pegging of project costs for sales order lines and sales quotation lines. If project pegging is mandatory for the item on the sales order line or quotation line, a peg must be specified, which is a combination of project/budget, project element and/or project activity. For example, if demand is pegged for a sales order line, the goods are sold for and the costs are booked to the project, element, and activity on the sales order line. A peg must be specified when planned inventory transactions are generated for the sales order line or quotation line. For sales quotation lines this means that the peg is not mandatory when the Probability Percentage is lower than the value specified in the Minimum Probability Percentage for Consideration in Time Phased Invy field of the Sales Quotation Parameters (tdsls0100s100) session. However, when you confirm a sales quotation line, the peg is always mandatory. The sales peg is copied to all relevant objects further in the process, such as Warehousing, Invoicing, Procurement, or Shop Floor Control. If the target object uses peg distributions, the sales peg is copied to a distribution line. New fields Peg in sales orders In sales orders, these project pegging-related fields were added:
Peg in sales quotations In sales quotations, these project pegging-related fields were added:
Note These fields were also added to the sales order and quotation (line) history sessions. When a sales quotation is processed to a sales order, the peg is copied as follows:
Peg in miscellaneous sessions The peg was also added to the following sessions:
Export license You can use the Export License Required check box to specify if an export license is required for an item. This check box was added to the following sessions:
New command Project Contract Information is a new command in multiple sessions. If the project that is specified on the sales order/quotation (line) is linked to a contract, you can use this command to view the contract details in the Contract (tpctm1600m000) session. Installment schedules Default installment schedules are now also used by Project in addition to being used by Sales. Therefore, the functionality to set up installments schedules was moved from Sales to Common.
