Phone numbers on business partners and contacts

In Infor LN 10, phone numbers are specified by address. Therefore, if the phone number is updated for one business partner role, it is also changed for the other roles. As a result, the business partner BODs do not have the phone number details filled.

In Infor LN 10.2.1, the following were added:

  • Phone numbers can be automatically split into specific phone number fields, such as the country dial code, the city/area code, the local number, and the extension.
  • Phone and fax numbers are specified by business partner role.
  • The phone number fields are extended for business partners and contacts.

To automatically split a full phone number, LN must recognize the structure of the phone number. Therefore, the following fields were added to the Countries (tcmcs0510m000) session:

  • Signs for City/Area Code
  • Sign for Extension

The tables below show new sessions. These sessions can be started from the relevant business partner or contact session.

Project pegging on opportunities

To identify costs, demand, and supply for a project, in Infor LN 10.2.1, you can implement project pegging and specify the items for which project pegging is required. A peg is required for an item only on the sales quotation line and sales order line.

If an item linked to an opportunity requires a peg, you can optionally specify the peg in the Items by Opportunity (tdsmi1113m000) session.

In the Items by Opportunity (tdsmi1113m000) session, these project pegging-related fields were added:

When a sales quotation line is generated from the opportunity item line, the opportunity's peg is copied to the Budget, Element for Budget, and Activity for Budget fields on the quotation line.

For more information, refer to Project pegging in Procurement.

Reference types for opportunities and activities

In Infor LN 10.2.1, the reference types that can be linked to an opportunity in the References by Opportunity (tdsmi1115m000) session or to an activity in the References by Activity (tccom6115m000) session, were extended.
