| Enterprise PlanningThis topic lists the differences topics for Enterprise Planning. The
topic describes the differences between Infor LN 10 and Infor LN 10.2.1. New and changed functionality Project Pegging Selected finished goods and components within a project
need cost accountability. You can now indicate if project pegging is required
for finished goods and components. During the life cycle of these items, the
pegging policy can be changed or exceptions made for individual
items. Project Group Planning You can use Planning groups to segregate the planning of
project specific demand and supply. Commingling and cost transfer rules are
defined on planning group level to control supply planning of project pegged
items within the planning group or within several planning groups. Project excess inventory occurs if the actual consumption
is less than originally planned, or lot size policies cause the ordering or
production of more items than required. Unless the customer chooses to dispose
of the excess inventory, it can be consumed by other projects. Transfer of
excess inventories is accomplished by permanent cost transfer. A cost transfer is a project cost account change and not a
physical transfer of items. Cost transfer rules determine under which
conditions excess inventory on projects is made available for transfer to other
projects or to allowed to receive excess inventory from other projects.
Transfer rules for 'transfer out' and 'transfer in' can differ per project. You
can define the rules for each direction separately. Commingling of project requirements for project pegged
items is possible across project planning groups. Commingling can also be
restricted to a specific planning group. You can exclude specific project cost
accounts from commingling. Supply orders for cost pegged items have a project peg
distribution. The peg distribution contains the following: - Item
- Required quantity
- Unit
- Configuration
Project cost account elements The distribution line shows information related to the
top demand order for example: customer, contract, program, prime contractor,
top demand order data.
Manual permanent project cost transfers can be preformed
in case of the following exceptions: - Override a supply decision of the planning
engine.
- Avoidance of stagnation in production because of rejects
or defective items by transferring items from other project.
- Transfer of excess inventory from a project when the
project needs to be closed. In this situation it is possible to transfer all
items with excess at once.
You can also transfer non-excess transfer is possible to a
demand with a higher priority, and raise a new supply to fulfill the demand
that belongs to the original cost peg. New and changed functionality by module The following modules include the new or changed
functionality in Infor LN 10.2.1: | |
