E-item revisions on schedules

Infor LN FP6

In the purchase schedule and sales schedule procedures of Infor LN FP6, you cannot use revisions of engineering items.

New in Infor LN 10

To provide suppliers with an overview of an engineering item's revisions, based on which they can adjust their production environment and purchase processes, in Infor LN 10, revision-controlled items can be used in the purchase and sales schedule procedures. Therefore, if, in the Item - General (tcibd0101s000) session, the Purchase Schedule in Use check box is selected, the Revision Controlled check box can also be selected for an item.

If the Revision Controlled check box is selected, schedule lines can be generated that refer to the revision that is effective at the requirement date. For purchase schedules lines, this requirement date is determined by the setting of the Configuration Date in the Purchase Parameters (tdpur0100m000) session. For sales schedules lines, if the Configuration Date (PCS) is set to System Date in the Sales Parameters (tdsls0100s000) session, this requirement date is the current date. Otherwise, the Start Date in the Sales Schedule Lines (tdsls3107m000) session determines which revision of an engineering item is valid.

To support e-item revisions on schedules, the following are new or have changed in Procurement and Sales:

Item Revision

This field is new in the following sessions:

  • Purchase Schedule - Lines (tdpur3111m000)
  • Purchase Schedule - Receipts (tdpur3115m200)
  • Purchase Schedules - Receipt Overview (tdpur3518m000)
  • Purchase Release Line - Details (tdpur3522m000)
  • Purchase Release Line - Details by Schedule (tdpur3522m100)

The Search Revision is a new command in the Purchase Schedule - Lines (tdpur3111m000) session.

Note

In the Purchase Release Line - Details (tdpur3522m000) session, schedule lines can only be clustered in the same purchase release line detail if the Item Revision is the same on the schedule lines.

Sales

In the Sales Parameters (tdsls0100s000) session, the use of the Configuration Date (PCS) field is extended. If this parameter is set to System Date, the current date determines which revision of an engineering item is valid for sales schedules. If this parameter has another value, the Start Date in the Sales Schedule Lines (tdsls3107m000) session determines which revision is valid.

Engineering Item Rev.

This field is new in the following sessions:

  • Sales Release Line Details (tdsls3515m000)
  • Sales Schedule Lines (tdsls3107m000)
  • Sales Schedule Actual Delivery Lines (tdsls3140m000)
  • Sales Schedule Actual Delivery Lines (tdsls3140m100)
  • Sales Schedule Invoice Lines (tdsls3140m200)

Because engineering item revisions can change over time, an item revision must not be stored on schedule header level, but only on schedule line level. Therefore, the Engineering Item Rev. is removed from the Sales Schedules (tdsls3111m000) and Sales Release Lines (tdsls3508m000) session.

The Search Revision is a new command in the Sales Schedule Lines (tdsls3107m000) session.

Note
  • A release line detail can only be processed into a sales schedule line if the supplier specified the revision of the engineering item in the Engineering Data Management module of Manufacturing.
  • In the Sales Schedule Planned Warehouse Orders (tdsls3520m000) session, schedule lines can only be combined in the same planned warehouse order if the Engineering Item Rev. is the same on the schedule lines.
