Assembly items

A FAS item is an item with order system FAS. You can define an item’s order system in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2500m000) session.

In Infor LN FP6, the default supply source concept was introduced. You can define an item’s default supply source in the Default Supply Source field in the Items - General (tcibd0501m000) details session. The Default Supply Source field is a new field in Infor LN FP6.

If the default supply source is Assembly, LN automatically sets the order system to FAS.

The term assembly item indicates an item with default supply source Assembly.
