schedules If the allocation and hard pegging functionality is used in a company, when sales orders or schedules are created, inventory is allocated automatically. This means that the sales order/schedule is considered as a demand for which a matching supply must be found, which must then be allocated. Specifications are linked to these orders/schedules. orders A purchase order/schedule is a source of supply for items. By means of the specification, items that you purchase can be hard pegged to a demand order. During receipt of the item, the specification characteristics of the hard pegged purchase order/schedule are copied to the inventory record, which allocates this inventory to the specific demand.
