| Sales InvoicingThis topic describes the differences between the Invoicing module in Infor LN FP2 and in Infor LN FP3 that are not already discussed in other Differences topics. New and changed functionality Compose invoices and credit notes In Infor LN FP2, in Invoicing, you must set up a transaction type for credit notes.
Because the transaction type is a composing criterion, if the transaction types
differ, LN can not
compose the invoice for a sales order and the credit note for a return order on
a single invoice. Especially in France and Italy, it is a requirement to
consolidate the sales invoice and the credit note in a single invoice. In the SLI Parameters (cisli1500m000) session, the Use Order Transaction Type for Credit Note check box was added for this
requirement. If you select this check box, LN uses the
transaction type of the order invoice to create credit notes, and you can not
enter a separate transaction type for credit notes. In the Transaction Types (tfgld0111s000) session, you must select the Negative Amounts Allowed check box for all the
transaction types for order invoices that you select in the Integration with Finance group box of the SLI Parameters (cisli1500m000) session. Link credit notes to invoices automatically In Invoicing, LN can automatically settle an invoice with the related credit note for a return
order. The following details must be passed on from Operations
Management and be available in Invoicing: - The financial company of the original invoice
- The transaction type of the original invoice
- The document number of the original invoice
Print invoices in the order of business partner, postal
code, invoice number In the new Invoice Printing Sequences (cisli1540m000) session, you can define invoice printing
sequences. For each printing sequence, you can select sort criteria with
different priorities. For example, you can print the invoices sorted by invoice
delivery method, invoice-to address, and invoice number. For details, refer to Valuation price and invoice amounts for staggered consignments.
