Landmark interface overview

There are tools available for working with the Landmark framework and applications.

Note:
  • The features that are part of the Infor OS Portal, the interface under which Landmark runs, are not covered here. Information about the Portal is available in Documentation Central.
  • The content here refers to Version 3 of the Landmark interface. If you are using an earlier version, your interface may not appear as described here.

The Landmark interface is intended to provide quick access to frequently used features and to make lesser used features easy to locate when needed.

Role access and feature enablement help streamline your Landmark interface and make it easier to use. As a result, some features described here may not apply to you.

Role access

When Landmark applications are installed at your site, managers determined which roles are required. Roles may correspond to jobs or positions. For example, your company payroll department might have several clerks, a supervisor, and a manager. In this case, the roles that would be set up might be Payroll Clerk, Payroll Supervisor, and Accounts Manager with each role being assigned access to the appropriate system applications and data. Each role is, in turn, assigned to Actors that may correspond to users.

Feature enablement

Some Landmark interface and application features are opt-in, which means that your company has made a decision to use them or not. Features that have not been enabled at your site or for you as an actor are not accessible from your Landmark interface.
