Segregation of Duties tabs

On the Segregation of Duties page, the page includes tabs to set up template categories, create and run SOD templates, view results, and use sample types and templates.

To access the Segregation of Duties page, from Security Administration, select Administration > Security Reports > Segregation of Duties. If the consolidated Security Administration menu is enabled, select Reports > Segregation of Duties.

My Template Types

The My Template Types tab enables you to create and manage template types to keep your SOD templates organized and searchable. You use these template types when creating SOD templates to filter and group templates later.

You can perform these actions in the My Template Types tab:

  • Create: Creates a new template type.
  • Delete: Deletes the selected template type.
  • Update: Updates the selected template type.

My Template

The My Template tab enables you to create, maintain, and run SOD templates. This tab shows all your SOD templates and includes a sub-tab for Left Side Conditions, Right Side Conditions, Results, and Actor List.

You can perform these actions in the My Template tab:

  • Create Template: Creates a new SOD template.

  • Merge Template: Creates a new SOD template by merging two existing templates.

  • Copy Template: Copies an existing template.

    See Copying Segregation of Duties template.

  • Run Report: Runs the analysis report of the selected template.

    See Running the Segregation of Duties report.

  • Delete: Deletes the selected SOD template.
  • Purge Template: Permanently deletes the selected template.
  • Purge All Results for Template: Permanently deletes all the completed reports on the Results tab.
  • Purge All Templates: Permanently deletes all existing templates in the system. You must delete all result files before you run this action.
    Caution: Purge actions permanently remove data from the database.

Results

The Results tab is used to view and export SOD report results. You can sort the results list by Priority or Template ID.

You can perform these actions in the Results tab:

  • Export to CSV: Generates a report output to CSV format.
  • Print to File: Generates a report output in PDF format.
  • Refresh: Reloads the results list.
  • Purge All: Permanently deletes all purge results.

Sample Template Types

The Sample Template Types tab is used to view delivered sample SOD template types and import them into your list.

You can perform these actions in the Sample Template Types tab:

  • Import Template Type: Imports the selected sample template type.
  • Import All Template Types: Imports all sample template types.

Sample Templates

The Sample Templates tab is used to view delivered sample SOD templates with their corresponding left and right side condition logics that you can import into your own list.

Note: If you have not created your own SOD template, you can start by using a delivered sample template available in this tab. Adapt the sample templates to meet your organization’s specific requirements.

You can perform these actions in the Sample Template tab:

  • Import Template: Imports the selected sample template.
  • Import All Templates: Imports all sample templates.

These sample templates are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not guaranteed to meet your organization’s business, regulatory, or compliance requirements. Your organization is responsible for reviewing, validating, and configuring the content before use.
