Enabling the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature

You can use the Infor Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature, which is based on Generative Artificial Intelligence(GEN AI), to generate content in rich text editing fields

Note: For the October 2024 release, only customers who have gone through an acceptance process can enable the feature. Contact your account manager for more information.

Adding the configuration parameter for the tenant

You must enable the AIEnabled configuration parameter on the tenant to enable AI-related features to user roles.

  1. Check if the AIEnabled configuration parameter is on the tenant.
    1. In the Administration Console, select Configuration Parameters.
    2. Click the Defined Parameters tab and search for AIEnabled in the Key field. If not listed, create the parameter.
  2. On the Defined Parameters tab, click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Component
    config

    The Preferred Component field must also change to config.

  4. Click Save.

Enabling the AI Assisted Rich Text feature for a user role

When the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature is enabled in configuration parameters, you must grant users access to it through their roles.

  1. In the Security Administration, select User Management > Role.
  2. Double-click the role that must have access to the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature.
  3. On the Configurable Features tab, click Edit Features.
  4. Select the AI Assisted Rich Text check box
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Restart the interface for this change to take effect. All users must log out.
Note: There are no delivered roles with this feature enabled. You must enable this feature for at least one role and assign it to an actor record.
