Keeping your session alive
- Automatic refresh: When your 15-minute access token expires and you perform an action that needs it, the application refreshes the token automatically. Windows Certificate Store certificates and unencrypted PEM keys refresh silently.
- Session Refresh prompt: If your certificate is password-protected (PFX, or an encrypted PEM), the application displays the Session Refresh window when the token expires. Specify your certificate passphrase and click Renew & Continue. The passphrase is required only for password-protected certificates and is never stored.
- Full re-authentication: After 60 minutes, the refresh token also expires. After the refresh token expires, you return to the Authenticate step (or reopens the Check Status authentication window) so you can sign in again.
