Credentials you need
Follow Section 1.6 and Section 3.1.1 of the IRIS 5718 publication to obtain the required certificate and IRS credentials. Specify these values in the Authenticate step. The application can save non-secret values for future sessions. Secret values are not stored.

| API Client ID | Your IRIS API client identifier. |
| IRIS User ID | Your IRIS user identifier. |
| Certificate Source | Where your signing certificate comes from: PFX/P12 file, PEM file, or the Windows Certificate Store.
Note: PFX/P12 file authentication has an OpenSSL dependency.

| Certificate/Certificate File | The certificate selected from the store, or the certificate file you browse to. |
| Passphrase | The passphrase that protects the private key. Required for PFX files; leave blank for an unencrypted PEM. Not shown for the Windows Certificate Store. |
| Key ID (kid) | The key identifier that matches the public key registered with your API Client ID. |
The IRS Environment is not a field on the form. The environment is selected with the IRS Environment toggle in the header.
