Transmitting a batch

  1. Review the files listed in the Transmission Files card. Each row starts as Pending.
  2. Click Transmit All.
  3. When a file is sent, the file row shows Transmitting... and the status bar shows "Transmitting file N of M: <file name>".
  4. When a file succeeds, its row shows Receipt ID: <id>. If the IRS rejects a file, the row shows Rejected and lists the specific errors returned.
  5. When the batch finishes, the status bar shows "Transmission complete: N submitted, M failed".

Each file's result is saved as soon as it is completed, so results are preserved even if a later file fails.

Note: If your access token expires mid-batch and your certificate is password-protected, the Session Refresh window appears. Specify your passphrase to continue; the current file is retried automatically.
