Preventing a user-initiated transaction from being approved
A new code restricts a user from approving their own work units. To restrict a user from approving their own work units, access and create a canOriginatorTakeAction system property and specify its value as false or no in the Properties tab. The task should not appear in the Inbox of the user who triggered the work unit but visible to other users.
Note: Starting with the 2026.10 release, the canOriginatorTakeAction system property in IPA is deprecated. Use the canOriginatorTakeAction configuration parameter in Landmark to control whether originators can receive and act on their own work approval work items.
