Configuring cube reload behavior

Non-destructive reloads change the default reload behavior from always deleting and recreating cube components, such as dimensions, measures and cubes, to recreating the components only when necessary. In previous releases, reloads deleted and recreated these components before repopulating cube data each time a cube was reloaded. This action can result in the loss of customer-maintained cube definitions, such as custom attributes and DAC security assignments. Non-destructive reloads preserve cube definitions and improve reload performance by recreating cube components only when required.
Note: For the 2026.10 release, this feature is disabled by default. To use non-destructive reloads, enable the EnableNondestructiveReload parameter.
  1. To enable reloading in non-destructive mode for all cubes, create the EnableNondestructiveReload configuration parameter with these details:
    • Component: Analytics
    • Key: EnableNondestructiveReload
    • Value: true
Note: After the non-destructive reload feature is enabled, the first reload performs a full delete, recreate, and populate cycle to establish a baseline for the current cube definition. Subsequent reloads use non-destructive processing and recreate cube components only when necessary.
  2. Reload must be able to detect when a cube component needs to be recreated. However, a cube setting is available to disable this feature for individual cubes in cases where a required cube component change is not detected. This setting must only be changed with the recommendation from Infor Support.
    1. In the Administration Console, select Analytics.
    2. Click the Refresh And Reload tab and double-click a cube to modify.
    3. In the Cube Creation Mode field, select any of these options:
      • Recreate When Needed: Deletes and then recreates the cube only when necessary. This option is the default value.
      • Recreate Always: Deletes and then recreates the cube each time a reload runs. This option is similar to disabling the EnableNondestructiveReload parameter in a cube level.
      • Recreate Next Reload Only: Deletes and then recreates the cube the next time reload runs. After a successful reload, the mode automatically reverts to Recreate When Needed.
