Configuring the WebSphere MQ node

Note: Starting with the 2024.10 release, the WebSphere MQ activity node will be deprecated and removed from the Infor Process Designer (IPD) tool, Infor Process Designer for the Web (IPD Web), and runtime server. Additionally, this node is no longer supported in multi-tenant environments and will be removed on a later date. See KB3522595.
  1. On the General tab, specify this information:
    Configuration name

    Select the configuration that you want to be used for this activity. If you want to use an existing configuration, select a name from the list. If you leave the field blank, the default configuration will be used.

    Queue Manager

    Specify the name of the WebSphere MQ manager to write to.

    Queue Name

    Specify the name of the WebSphere MQ queue to write to.

    Message

    Specify the data to write to in the WebSphere MQ queue, usually from a server variable.

    Message Type

    This field is optional. If specified, the number in this field is added to the WebSphere MQ constant MQMT_APPL_FIRST (65536) to specify the message type. If this field is left blank, the message type will be set to MQMT_APPL_FIRST (65536).

  2. On the On Error tab, specify this information:
    What should happen on an error?

    Select from the available options.

    Notify

    Select the check box if you want to send a notification when an error occurs. If this option is selected, you must fill out the notification details.

    Custom log entry

    Select the check box if you want a custom log entry in addition to the system-generated log entry.
