Configuring action buttons for work items

Use this procedure to configure whether the action buttons, such as Approve and Reject, are displayed in the toolbar of a work item and work item list.

  1. Enable configurable features from the Administration Console:
    1. On the Administration Console, go to the Configuration Parameters tab.
    2. Click Enable Configurable Features.
    3. On the Enable Configurable Features window, click Submit.
  2. Define the value of the Actions on Inbasket field of a role:
    1. From Security Administration, select User Management > Role.
    2. Double-click a role to configure.
    3. Click the Configurable Features tab.
    4. Click Edit Features.
    5. Configure the action buttons using these options:
      • Select the Actions On Inbasket check box to set the Actions On Inbasket field to Yes. This option displays the action buttons in a work item.
      • Clear the Actions On Inbasket check box to set the Actions On Inbasket field to No. This option does not display the action buttons in a work item.
    6. Click Submit.
    Note: You must use the configurable features of a role to configure the action buttons of a work item and work item list. The previously used ShowInbasketWorkFlowActions configuration parameter is no longer recommended.
