Exporting a list to CSV
Options for exporting to CSV can be accessed through the options menu. From the menu, select Export to CSV.
On the Export to CSV dialog box, make selections for these options:
- : CSV or Excel. If you select CSV, commas between fields are included. If you select Excel, your output is formatted for viewing in Excel.
- Header: Select Field ID or Field Label.
- Record Limit:
- Default: Up to 5,000 rows.
- Larger: Up to 250,000 rows.
- Small: Up to 100 rows.
- No limit: This option exports all rows.Note: If you see a message when exporting to Excel when "No limit" is selected, it is a warning message telling you the maximum number of records that Excel can accept through export.
- Specify Record Limit: You are prompted to manually input the number of rows expected. If the number of rows is larger than the number you specify, an error message displays on-screen.
Sharing tab: If your site has created distribution groups, you can select options for sending the CSV file the group. The options available for sharing vary depending on the profile of the group. For example, some groups allow you to share files with actors who are not in the group, other groups do not allow this. Advanced tab
If you have access to the Advanced tab, you can configure features for exporting very large data sets using multiple threads. This is an advanced feature that is typically performed only by system administrators or developers. For more information, see Configuring multi-threading for exporting large CSV files.
