Printing a content to PDF

Content is defined as the items you are viewing, such as a list, a report, a form, or a page. You can print a content to PDF file through the options menu. This printing process includes a selection of tabs and menus that enable you to configure the settings for the exported file.

  1. From the options menu, select Export to CSV.
  2. On the Print To PDF dialog box, make selections on these tabs:
    • Display tab
      Display
      Select the print orientation. Select Landscape for a horizontal orientation or Portrait for a vertical orientation.
      Paper Size
      Select a paper size that is compatible with the paper you plan to print on.
      Font Offset
      Select a font offset value to reduce the font size when exporting large data sets to PDF. The default value is 0.
      Retention Duration
      Select how long the generated PDF file should be retained. You can manually select a predefined duration from the menu, or specify the number of retention days.
    • Content tab
      Record Limit
      Select the number of records to export. You can select one of these options:
      • Default: Exports records up to 5,000 records.
      • Larger: Exports records up to 250,000 records.
      • Small: Exports records up to 100 records.
      • No Limit: Exports all records.
      • Specify Record Limit: Prompts you to manually specify the number of records expected.
      Print Options
      This option is available on the dialog box if the list or report you are printing includes features, such as detail tabs, that support configurable printing options. The available options vary depending on the report and may include these options:
      • Current List Only: Prints the list you are currently viewing.
      • Current List With Details: Prints the list you are currently viewing, including the detail tabs.
      • Selected Records with Details: Prints the complete record details of your selected individual record in a report, including the detail tab.
      Include Search Form
      Select this option to include the criteria used to search for records in the output file. Do not select this option if no search is used.
    • Sharing tab
      Report Distribution Group
      You can select a report distribution group to manage the PDF file sharing. If your site has distribution groups, you can select options for sending the PDF file to a group. The options available for sharing vary depending on the profile of the group. For example, some groups enable you to share files with actors outside the group, while other groups are restricted to group members only.

  3. Complete your print by clicking one of these options:
    • Print: Generates the output file. When the output file is completed, it opens in a new window.
    • Schedule: Schedules the output generation. The page for scheduling the print is displayed when this option is selected.
