Selection of an action to be scheduled

To select an action for scheduling, follow the steps based on the type of action involved. How you select and initiate the scheduling process may vary depending on these action types:

  • Jobs and job streams: Select a job or job stream from the Jobs or the My Jobs tab of the Job Console, click the Ellipsis button, and then select Run Selected Job.
  • Instance or set actions: Scheduling options are often available when you select the action on a form. When the Schedule form is displayed and you leave the schedule type as Run Now, clicking OK immediately send the background action to the queue. If you select a different schedule type, then you can proceed with defining the scheduling.
