Purging orphaned requests

Normally, when all triggers related to an async action request are removed, no future operation remains, and the request is not a system request, then the async actions are deleted automatically. However, when the triggers are deleted by an external process, such as a utility program, the async action requests remain in the system as orphans. Use this procedure to clean up these orphaned requests.

You can run the purge for all requests or only those for the current data area.

  1. On the Async Administrator main page, click the All Requests tab.
  2. Click the Ellipsis button and select Purge Orphaned Requests.
  3. To purge orphaned requests only for the current data area, select the Current Data Area Only checkbox on the Purge Orphaned Requests form.
  4. Click Submit to run the purge immediately or click Schedule to schedule it.
