Data replication overview
Data replication is a Landmark feature that enables you to copy selected data to several different targets and schedule updates to the replicated data based only on what data has changed. The replicated data is used for a variety of purposes such as archiving or analysis by business analytic solutions.
The starting point for working with data replication is the Replication page in the Database section of the Administration Console. That page includes numerous tabs that provide views of the current status of replication sets, ways to select and create new replication sets, and the means to analyze which replication sets a business class is included in.
When planning to create a replication set, consider these aspects of replication sets. How you handle these aspects of a replication set depends on the purposes of the data replication being performed.
