Setting up IPA queue mappings

Use this procedure to set up queue mappings for Infor Process Automation. These mappings control which queue work unit dispatching is assigned to and enable you to set the priority for the work unit dispatching based on actor, data area, and process or flow definition values.

  1. In the Async Administrator, select Setup.
  2. On the Async Setup page, click the Queues tab and select the queue for which you intend to set up IPA queue mapping. If the queue mappings for the queue include processes or flow definitions as one of the criteria, this queue should be in the application data area.
  3. Open the queue record.
  4. In the Mapping & Triggers section on the Queue form, select the IPA Queue Mappings tab and then click Create.
  5. On the Pfi Async Queue Mapping form, specify this information:
    Actor

    An actor to use to determine whether a work unit is assigned to this queue. Blank means any actor.

    Data Area

    A data area to use to determine whether a work unit is assigned to this queue. Blank means any data area.

    Process
    A process or flow definition to use in determining whether a work unit is assigned to this queue. Blank means any process.
    Priority
    Select the processing priority for this mapping within the current queue.
  6. Save your changes.
