Verifying the database

Use this procedure to verify the integrity of the database for the data area from which you are running the Landmark Administration Console. This action verifies that the database dictionary and the database definition match.

  1. In the Administration Console, select Database > Verify Database.
  2. Specify which tables to verify. The options are All, Module, Business Class, and Other, which respectively stand for all tables, all tables in a module, all tables for a business class, or all tables matching an expression, such as Action* for all business classes whose names begin with Action. If you select anything except All, you must then specify the specific module, business class, or file name pattern.
  3. To export the verification report to a sub-directory of the FTP site directory, specify that directory in the Subdirectory field.
  4. To name the report differently than the default name of dbverify.txt, specify that name in the Command Output Filename field.
  5. Click Submit to run the database verification immediately or Schedule to schedule the database verification.
